Water Safety Classes
As the summer season approaches, every child should understand basic water safety skills to help them make safe choices in and around water. Occoquan Swim Academy offers a three part program covering water safety techniques, how to avoid potential danger and what to do in an emergency.

Prerequisite Completion of the Intermediate level classes.
Skills Taught
Breath: Submerge underwater, take a breath, blow bubbles.
Body: Back float, roll from front side to back side.
Safety: Reach for the wall, tread water, front crawl stroke underwater, swim 5 yards to wall, monkey crawl.more information.
Our water safety program is a session of four 30 minute lessons.
